Our Mission

Called by God's goodness, we profess the Gospel life
in the spirit of Francis and Mother Magdalen,
following the teaching and footprints of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We commit ourselves to constant conversion
in openness to the Spirit
and live as sisters minor in the midst of God's people
becoming a sign of hope in a struggling world.

Our mission is the Gospel and we respond to the call to live the Gospel in both prayer and service. We understand that prayer does not stand in isolation from daily life or the events of our time. Rather, it calls us to respond to these events. Together we witness to the Gospel through any activity which answers a human need.

We try to keep God's word, contemplating it in our heart. This contemplative prayer will lead us into the mystery of God and through this to a deeper reverence for creation bringing us to a struggle against all that might destroy God's work.

We say of Francis that he could serve both sultan and leper with the same gentle courtesy, and we try to make this reverence for everyone an intrinsic quality in our lives.
